I Almost Missed It

Last night, I stepped out back with my dog "one last time" for the evening.  I had the usual 50 things on my mind~thinking about all the things on my list that I didn't get done that day.  After telling Hope (sweetly) to "hurry", I turned around, looked up and saw this:

Beautiful. 
I started to wonder how many times I've missed such a sight while worrying about trivial things and hurrying to get one more thing done before the day ends.
And while I'm at it, I'm going to stop telling my dog to "Hurry" (even sweetly).  I think I can speak for the entire planet of human beings when I say that no one wants to be told to hurry when they are going to the bathroom.  I'm pretty sure dogs must feel the same way.

She is fighting lymphoma like a little trooper.  Thanks to her wonderful doctor and staff, loving and supportive family and friends, and lots of prayers~ she is beating this thing.

My gratefulness for the past 12 years with her is beyond words and I will treasure whatever time we have left together.

Lenten Roses

One of the first Spring flowers to bloom here in this part of North Carolina.

They look so delicate, but they are sturdy little things.

Such a nice surprise to happen upon them when it is still chilly outside.

  A herald of Spring, for sure.

Fields of Clover

I like the idea of this being a huge field of clover.
  I imagine a band of bunnies happening upon it and thinking they've reached heaven.

I can almost picture them high-fiving with their little paws.

Looking at it close up, I don't think it is clover.

 I think I'll just forget I know that and go back to my bunny daydream.
